First revival of the 1956 production, which featured Judy Holliday in her
first Broadway musical
In this charming musical comedy from the 1950s, Ella Peterson is a Brooklyn
telephone answering service operator who tries to improve the lives of her
clients by passing along bits of information she hears from others. Through
her daily wake-up calls, she falls in love with dashing playwright Jeffery
Moss, one of her clients. She's intrigued by the voice on the other end of
the line, but afraid to meet him because he thinks she's a lovely old lady.
When they finally cross paths, her career--and love life--take dramatic
turns.

This is the
much-renowned and easily identifiable stage version of the animated Disney
film, complete with dancing forks and candlesticks. The choreography and high
quality acting will entertain adults, while the whimsical and familiar
subject matter enchants children. The costumes are so exquisite and detailed
that they garnered a Tony in 1998. A great family activity while in the Big Apple.

In Betrayal, the high price of passion is examined when a love affair
destroys a marriage and sabotages a friendship. Robert and Jerry were best
friends. Robert and Emma were married. Jerry and Emma were lovers; welcome
to the tangled emotional world of betrayal.
